Summer + Dan

This fall’s trend was DEFINITELY gorgeous gardens, because for Summer + Dan, I headed back to Cantigny Park in Wheaton to soak up every last drop of their gorgeous fall foliage! This place makes my job easy, and I’m so thankful for couples who love to take a leap of faith with me and trust my portrait location ideas… it means so much to me to know that they trust me enough to love my suggestions and then totally ROCK their session (even in the cold!)… these two nailed it!

Summer + Dan are another couple who booked with me long before their wedding, so planning their engagement session has been a long time coming, but so worth the wait! We didn’t think we would have a sunset with the way the forecast was for the day of the shoot, but the sun came out at the last hour of Summer + Dan’s engagement session and never left us!!!! This lighting was too good to not take advantage of, so we just kept shooting for as long as we could soak up that gorgeous, warm glow! And it paid off!!

AND I don’t know how I get so lucky to photograph the most interestingly beautiful rings but here we go again, with Summer’s stone being a grey diamond!!!! My job is insane.

After each engagement session, one of my goals is for my couples to be more in love than when we started their shoot… full of love from all the laughs, the laidback style of how I photograph, and full of confidence for their wedding day portraits. If my couples feel that after their session, it was a complete success. With all the laughs and conversation and I’m pretty sure that they feel the same way too! (ESPECIALLY since we got warm at Starbucks after and chatted for over an hour… it was meant to be!)
