This time of year is full of high school senior sessions, engagement sessions, and weddings, with the stunning fall leaves in full swing and the crisp light breeze in the air… it is the perfect time of year for photo sessions! And this year did NOT disappoint! With Thanksgiving tomorrow, I am so thankful for so many things, and my clients and friends are right at the top of that list. Hence, the crazy 5 blogged sessions in one day! Happy Thanksgiving, early!!!

Sam is without a doubt, the SJ Bride who I have known the longest… because I have known her since she was born! She’s one of my cousins!! So when she and Ted got engaged (in the state of Oregon at one of the places that she and her family used to vacation… adorable, right?!) I couldn’t wait to meet my new cousin-in-law, Ted! Sam grew up in the Chicago suburbs but she and Ted live in Madison now, so when I asked if they wanted to come down to Rockford for their engagement session because Anderson Japanese Gardens was allowing professional photography for the first time ever, they were totally in and I couldn’t wait to see everything come together for their shoot. (It was actually the first time that I had met Ted, so we had such an eventful day!!! It was a blast!)

Oh, and did I mention that Sam has the most stunning stone… it is the same shade of blue to match Ted’s eyes… siigghhhh. How precious, right?! If you can’t wait to see it, don’t worry, you won’t have to wait much longer! The Autumnal colors of Anderson Gardens, paired with Sam’s emerald green velvet dress was like a match made in photo heaven, so get ready for some fall goodness!

After each engagement session, one of my goals is for my couples to be more in love than when we started their shoot… full of love from all the laughs, the laidback style of how I photograph, and full of confidence for their wedding day portraits. If my couples feel that after their session, it was a complete success. With all the laughs and conversation, I’m pretty sure that they feel the same way too!
