Adrian + Kiryn | Rockford, Illinois Wedding Photographer

Adrian + Kiryn

It’s no secret that I love to photograph weddings. The thrill and excitement of the day… the unveiling of the bride in her dress… the look on the groom’s face as he watches his bride walk down the aisle towards him… the moment when the couple is pronounced “husband + wife”… It’s all such an honor to be able to photograph. What’s even better? When the bride is one of your close friends!

I met Kiryn just this year at the Something Blue Bridal Expo at the Rockford Bank + Trust Pavilion and we hit it off instantly. It was a perfect friendship! When she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was so honored and thrilled that she trusted me to capture her wedding memories… I KNEW her vision was going to be incredible.

Since Kiryn and her mom own a wedding/event planning business with AHHMAZING rentals, I couldn’t wait to see the stunning pieces from her rental collection and how she styled them for her own wedding. Spoiler alert: you won’t be disappointed.

From her antique, elopement style wedding ceremony to the most adorable pup named Bronze as her ring bearer and every moment in between, this wedding (AND couple) is one that will forever be in my heart. The laidback style of the day was nothing short of perfection… and Kiryn + Adrian could really “feel” the day as it was happening… I’m a HUGE advocate for small, intimate weddings so the more the merrier! Oh, and get this, Kiryn had the sweetest unity ceremony that I have ever seen. She took soil from Adrian’s childhood home, soil from their home, and a cutting from a 40 year old Jade plant that Kiryn’s grandmother had… and together, with their daughter, they planted this new unity plant. I was literally crying my eyes out behind the camera.

Adrian + Kiryn, congratulations again on your incredible wedding… thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to be a part of your most precious day. It means the world to me. I wish you both the most amazing of marriages + the happiest of ever afters.

Love, Sara
