Caitlin + Jon

From the very beginning, I could tell how sweet Caitlin was. She’s a genuinely kind soul… always laughing and so, so in love with Jon. These two are adorable. If you read the previous post on their surprise engagement you will know a little back-story on these two. (So go check that post out before looking any further!;))

Lake Geneva was the perfect backdrop for Caitlin + Jon’s engagement session… that warm golden light just before sunset drenched the lake and everything was so dreamy! We couldn’t have asked for a better night for photos and I should have known that we were going to have a blast from the very beginning (nothing like calling each other trying to figure out where the other party was… when we parked on the same street as each other!).  But my FAVORITE thing about their session, aside from their adorableness of course, was the unexpected portrait locations that we found along the way! We turned alleys into ivy forests and construction zones next to a fast food restaurant into a sun-drenched valley! It’s these little wins that make me love to be adventurous with portrait locations!

Jon + Caitlin, I hope you love these photos as much as I loved taking them and I can’t wait until your wedding!
