First off, I’d like to start by saying that Nate + Kelsey are awesome. They’re free spirited souls who love adventure + aren’t afraid of making their own traditions. These two Californians live in such a beautiful area of the country + are always “adventuring” (for lack of a better word)… her Instagram is no joke + I’m sure she knows that I love stalking her landscape photos on the regular. Sigh!

Nate + Kelsey’s summer wedding was nothing short of amazingly beautiful artsy details, some of the most original vintage/modern floral bridesmaid dresses that I have EVER seen, + the most incredible bouquets on the planet. I was drooling over them the entire day (thanks for the future wedding bouquet inspiration, Kelsey!). Their wedding was held at the ever-stunning Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, IL + we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. After the two exchanged their vows, we had full reign of the gardens for plenty of photos (WITH A WATERFALL!) before heading off to one of my favorite restaurants in town, Franchesco’s, for the reception. Talk about an awesome wedding! Waterfalls + Italian food… could it get much better than that?!

Frank’s Room was decorated beyond my imagination with MORE STUNNING FLORALS… y’all I was in Floral Heaven, I kid you not. The food: delicious. The room: intimate + beautifully lit.
