Let me tell you…it is one of the hardest (if not THE HARDEST) things in the world to tell your bride that you already have her date booked with someone else. And let me tell you another thing…it never gets any easier. Nicole was referred to me by yet another amazing gal pal of mine, Deisy (remember her Refinery29 post?! Yeah, she’s a beaut too!). So I was instantly taken with Nicole and knew that if she was friends with Deisy, then we were about to hit it off as well and I couldn’t wait! Then the worst thing ever happened: she told me her wedding date and I had already had it booked. Sad day. I think we’re still in mourning, right Nicole?? 🙁 BUT she wanted to have me photograph her engagement session anyway, WHICH made me super excited. Nicole + Brad are from DeKalb, my college stomping grounds town, but we didn’t shoot there for their session. Instead, they came to me for a change of scenery! Good ‘ole Rockford! Nicole really wanted to shoot at Anderson Gardens, so we made our first stop there and finished with Sinnissippi Gardens along the river. Side note: doesn’t she look ravishing?!

Nicole + Brad, thank you so much for an amazing day full of laughs and inside jokes (remember the swan?! Lol!)…even though I can’t be at your side on your wedding day, I still wish you an amazing wedding and phenomenal marriage. You’re a doll! Happy Wedding, you two!
